Unsorted wolves will 'wander' and may spread or catch illnesses across caves. In the event that one of your wolves comes down with a contagious illness (which won't happen right away, you have immunity for your first few days of play!) you should quarantine them away from the rest of the pack until you can cure them. It's a good idea to set up at least two caves for sorting wolves. Roles can be changed at any time although there is a brief cooldown if you want to reassign a wolf to their previous role. You can only have 2 scouts at a time (and 1 herbalist, once you unlock that quest after a few days of play) but you can assign as many hunters and pupsitters as you want. Wolf roles can be set by going to an individual wolf's page and clicking 'Settings' beneath their picture. Hunger is indicated by the red bar on a wolf's page or your den overview, and each adult wolf's hunger will go down by 20% each rollover. Looks like all your wolves are full right now, which is why you don't see the option to feed them.
